25 Time Management Tips

1. Keep a schedule, calendar, or appointment book (PDAs and or Smartphones are great electronic devices to help you on the go)
2. Create a list of the things that do not need to be done
3. Make a To Do list every morning and cross it off as you go through each thing
4. Add your To Do list in your PDA or Smartphone, make it electronic and take it with you
5. Stop being a pack rat, toss the things you have completed
6. Break all of your tasks up into parts, add a time frame if needed in 10 - 20 minute increments
7. Make the most of your time
8. Do not collect unnecessary items, papers, letters, magazines, bills, ect.
9. Take something from the ‘DARE’ mantra and just learn to say ‘NO,’ to people, and to the tasks that take you further away from your goal
10. Plan in advance what and how you are planning to attack your next task
11. Do not make time for people that waste your time or take time away from your day to day necessary tasks
12. Control your interruptions by taking yourself away from or out of situations and environments that are prone to interruptions
13. Ditch the perfection bug, you don’t have to be a perfectionist
14. Keep all of you personal and business calls straight to the point
15. Make a note of the things you like to do that pass the time and treat yourself after completing a certain number of tasks
16. Take the time to make a production plan of attack
17. LISTEN!
18. Manage your self-control
19. Discover what your time saver assets are
20. Enjoy yourself and time doing what you enjoy doing, make it fun, create fun or some sense of enjoyment
21. Avoid television
22. Try making your daily tasks into a routine that works for you
23. Learn to be flexible with your schedule and appointments
24. Do one thing at a time
25. Take breaks when needed to avoid burnout

But seriously, these are common guidelines that are evasive to those who have poor work habits. One thing at a time, through your list, and I’m pretty sure people would be able to reach their full potential.
