Changes to come?

Lately i have been playing with the idea of making some pretty big changes to this blog. The most important and nerve wrecking change that i am considering is changing the blog’s name and domain. The problem is, i don’t want to lose the authority, feeds, pagerank, alexa rank, and other link love that this blog has developed over the last few months.

As previously stated, the blog has taken a turn in regards to content and the title does not resemble all of the content, but lately that seems to be what people enjoy about the site. Some come for the jerky recipes and some for the jerky tips and get more than expected. Where else would you get the formula to open your own online store and possible product information, recipes and tips on making your own jerky (look i just gave you a decent head start right here)?

However, i feel with a domain and name change the blog will attract more readers with an accurate name in place.

I want your comments and tips. I’m open to any suggestions on how to preserve the PR, Alexa Rank, Link love, feeds, authority, ect.

Also, what do you think about this blog being called, “The Beef Jerky Blog?” How important is the name of a blog in comparison to it’s content?
