Day 2 — Resort or Theme Parks?

DAY 2:
I have this problem, when i’m on vacation or at a conference (basically on vacation) i can’t sleep in for the life of me. However, my routine seems to stay the same: Wake up, watch CNBC, doze off again, wake up before opening bell, check my stocks, workout (lately i’ve been too tired to do so but i need to get back on the horse), shower, breakfast… Well, here it’s more like breakfast by the lake “Largo Larado,” with the thieving birds that are quick to peck at what’s in your bowl and fly away before you get a chance to taste what you paid for. In the famous words of Wu-Tang clan (for hiphop fans), protect your neck, in this case protect your plate… with food prices this ridiculous it’s no wonder why by day three at Disney’s Coronado Springs most guests don’t see the bird’s behavior as cute but a little intruding. Now the begging squirrels, that’s another thing that never gets old. At least the squirrels are a bit timid to run up your table snatch a link.
For the day my wife and I visited Disney’s Animal Kingdom where adventure awaits. The animals were out and about and so were the undisciplined kids with their clueless parents.

A few hours pass, and after another trip to the pool, my wife and i made our way to Downtown Disney, and guess what… we wanted fish and chips and found this horrible place where the beer outshined the food by a longshot, hence the image above. Well, i tried my best to be fair to the restaurant, but if you look at the image above closely, you’ll see where we ate at… and you guessed it, avoid this place for dinner but the Guiness was great! If you ever find yourself in Disney stay away from the fish ‘n’ chips regardless of the restaurant. In Downtown Disney you’ll find everything and guess what, it’s free to get in… yes, free… so take advantage of the shops, restaurants, live entertainment, and clubs. Maybe you should get there before 9pm after that everything costs bucks. Highlights of Downtown Disney so far, The House of Blues, Virgin, Hagan Daz Ice Cream, The Adventurer’s Club, Planet Hollywood, and Cirque du Soleil. Our next trip we’ll have to try the Cheese Cake Factory Express, man this sounds good already…
My 5 Tips For Disney
1. Spend a day at Epcot to enjoy everything the theme park has to offer - We are making another trip back to try the food and experience the Disney version of the different cultures
2. Unless you enjoy men dressed up in women clothing avoid Mannequins Dance Palace (maybe on certain days but regardless all i saw coming out of the bar were cross dressing men. Hey! not my cup of tea, but if that’s your flavor then there you go with a good tip…
3. Think Soarin - Hit the line early if you don’t have a FastPass
4. All of the gift shops carry different stuffed or plush items, but all of the prices are the same across the board. However, say you want to buy a small plush Goofey for $20, well sometimes at resorts they’ll have one size larger for the same price. Mistake? Oh well, you still get out with a larger plush Goofey while saving a few bucks. The customer is always right in brick and morter shops, right?
5. In Downtown Disney, get there before 9pm to get in free… Most bars and clubs charge after 9pm. Although, walking around you’ll still meet a ton of people as the life in Pleasure Island doesn’t really seem to cease until 2 or 3am
