DAY 3 — Disney-MGM Studios
Just completed a training outline for a company that i contract with, by the side of the ‘Apocalypto’ pool. Working days like these are to few, I think i will have to make that change. Just received a call from Paramount and Fox studios in regards to a venture that i plan to put into effect within a couple of weeks, hopefully, but we’ll see if the terms are right.
Enough work talk, the day starts slightly different. Wake up to the sound of an alarm clock around 6am, turn on CNBC to check before the market stock prices, leave CNBC in the background in case i get the urge to check my stocks one last time before fully starting my day. My wife brings me breakfast, i guess she started her day earlier than me… Well, after a shower i make a trip to the pool to complete the work mentioned above but the scene was a bit distracting with the noise so i made my way to the lake again and play catch up with the annoying birds for a minute.

DISNEY CHARACTERS LIVE HERE?
For the day my wife and i visited Disney’s “MGM Studios” for dinner only to find that most of the good places to eat are booked solid until 9:30/ 10pm for walk-ins and at this time it’s only 7pm. Oh, by the way, pack comfortable shoes because you will be walking everywhere and getting your exercise. So before we found a place to eat, it was here where we ran into Captain Hook or Hook himself, Geppetto, Pinocchio, and Belle. As you can see, my wife caught a classic upclose headshot of Pinocchio himself… It was sort of funny as he came out of nowhere, while some lady in the background is screaming “There is Geppetto, There is Geppetto,” like a overly excited child. Needless to say my wife was trying to knab a shot of Geppetto, who she thought was Jiminy Cricket, and not Pinocchio… Instead she got Pinocchio…
So finally, in our adventure for good food, we get a good friend on the phone to seek her advice on a good place to go while at the “MGM Studios” theme park. I swear this woman deserves a free vacation from Disney because she serves as an independent spokesperson. The only woman i know that will pay $1700+ for an all-inclusive vacation to Disney and spend $2500 extra for gifts and Disney memorbilia. She has a Disney book/ guide… not too sure of the proper terminology, but regardless she has a “BIG” Disney book of the resorts and theme parks. She helped us out a lot, especially with minutes on our hunger clocks to spare, yeah, we were starving and looking for something simple like burgers and fries but instead settled for a cool experience at “50s Prime Time Cafe,” you take a step back in time, no joke…

“ABOUT THE CAFE”
The food was pretty good, but again not great and yet for $24+ a plate i was expecting something great, better than my mother’s home cooked meals.
Instead it was the diner experience that made the place worth our while. Shortly follwoing dinner, we both made our way back to the resort to retire the day early and catch the NCAA Female Softball Championship Finals between the Arizona Wildcats and Tennessee Lady Vols, just burnt out from all the walking and the sun. This Disney thing is truly hard to grasp. With so many things to do and so little time, oh by the way time flies fast while at the theme parks, but if you are not the one for crowds you may want to leave certain theme parks early before the fireworks. It gets packed, neck to neck, nose to shoulder, i mean people touch eye brows and mustaches certain theme parks tend to get that crowded. Protect your pocket books, back packs, wallets and cell phones…
Top 5 Disney Tips
1. Make reservations to restuarants ahead of time, good places fill up quick
2. Have an idea of what you want to see before getting to the theme park
3. Avoid “The Great Movie Ride”
4. MGM Studios is a great theme park to start at if kids are a part of your enturage
5. The dining is something to try here, make reservations
