Movable Type 4 Launches

Besides Wordpress i cannot honestly think of another program to use. In fact I’ve contemplated on using Movable Type for a few of my blogs but i guess with the launch of MT4 (movabeltype.com) this switch may become more of a reality out of pure curiosity of how movable type may compete with wordpress.
Some of the features that MT4 has are pretty impressing when accompanied by eye catching graphics, simple and convenient are a bloggers best friend. Especially, when there are other things going on their life, any blogging software that can make the job of blogging easier is welcomed with open arms.
However, don’t get too excited… It still seems as though Wordpress is still number 1 in the realm of blogging software and although MT4 seems to have updated a few features it still has yet to break the bar and compete with WP.
Maybe they should scrap the idea of paying a ridiculous amount of money for a crummy commercial license… just my two cents.

Just wanted to let you know — MT4 is free for personal use, as it has been for some time, and an open source version of MT is due shortly. So you only need to pay for MT if you want a business license or want to get support directly from us. I hope you’ll give it a try and let us know what you think.
I like the designs of a few blogs that use MT but truthfully Ill probally never use them unless they pull off a piece of software genius otherwise WP all the way.
